Facilities and Privileges
The Auckland Officers Club provides a ‘home away from home’ for serving and retired Officers, an environment equal to that found in the best Officers Messes. As a member you have access to an oasis in Auckland City, where you can dine, stay overnight, attend functions and lectures, or simply relax.

Comradeship
An essential component to The Auckland Officers Club is the opportunity to meet and mix with both former and serving personnel from all walks of life. The club provides a valuable bridge between service life and a civilian career.
Bankside Bar and Lounge
Bankside provides a less formal dining/cocktail experience, where the dress code is more relaxed. The lounge area is a recent addition to the Club. In summer the west facing terrace is excellent for outdoor dining, and in winter a large fireplace is often roaring.
From Monday – Friday Bankside is the perfect place to slip away for a cocktail or two.
Events
There’s always something happening at the club, from sporting events and family activities right through to theatre and lectures. With membership you are granted access to our members area where you can easily RSVP to events and see what’s coming up on our calendar.
Affiliate Clubs
Members have access to affiliate clubs in New Zealand and all over the globe, many of which offer excellent affordable accommodation in central locations. Contact The Northern Club for affiliate club information.
Members Dining Room
Arguably one of the best restaurants in town, The Members Dining Room offers a unique fine dining experience with an award winning wine selection. Indulge in a la carte breakfast, lunch or dinner in this Victorian style restaurant. Formal dress is a must.
The Wintergarden
Attend an event or organise your own in the award-winning Wintergarden. The space is host to multiple events, lectures and dinners throughout the year. The room was added in 2008, and was also designed by Fearon Hay architects.
Accommodation
The Club’s guest rooms are a perfect mix of Victorian style architecture and luxurious modern convenience. Recently renovated, each room includes a private bathroom and double bed with its own view of Auckland’s skyline.
Auckland Officers Club members are also encouraged to make use of guest rooms provided by affiliate clubs worldwide, which often offer affordable and central accommodation. Northern Club guest rooms are inexpensive and include a continental breakfast. Contact the Northern Club to make a booking.
Gym
The club gym is equipped with the essential tools to help members improve and maintain their fitness. On-site personal trainers are employed to help members with their routine and equipment.
Entertaining and Reading
There’s always a space to relax and retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city at the Club. In the evenings the billiard room is often a favored setting, while numerous bars are available to enjoy a beverage with friends.
The library offers a place to gather your thoughts and browse through one of Auckland’s most important rare book collections, most books gifted to the club over the past 100 years. The club has a good selection of newspapers, journals and magazines from around the world.
